Shadow575 - ODP Meta

Not a lot of time at the moment to update, but wanted to post that I have now officially been Metafied. Received some strange text/IM messages this am on my way to work. Upon arrival I was greeted with a dozen or so congratulation emails. I am proud to say that my term as Regional Catmod was a great one, and it ended this morning with the granting of Meta. Hopefully I will have time to finish reading everything and be able to understand most of it. Fortunately for me, Catmodding has assisted me by giving me many of these new experiences in a moderated level.

ODP Back to 100% (Well almost)

Has it really been over a month since I last posted? I guess so. Anyway, to update on the health of the directory most features from the public side should now be back to normal. As far as I know, applications are coming through and submissions are once again being accepted. There are still some things on the editors side that are being worked on but for the most part all visible functions have returned. Real life has been overly hectic for me personally so I haven’t had much editing time as of late. I hope to get back into a routine soon, but until then I may be a bit sporadic at best.
When I have been able to dedicate some free time, I have gotten back to my roots and focused on my hometown once again. I have a goal of adding 150 more sites right now. I have added 25-30 already (I think) and I have found 45 or so more that are just needing sorted, titled and described. So I am almost halfway there. I kind of took a short break from ‘editing’ to get back to ‘catmodding’ at the moment. I have been trying to work new editor applications and try to concentrate on getting some fresh faces into Regional. As I haven’t had a lot of free time, it has started slowly. I plan on dedicating several hours over the weekend though to the ODP, so if all goes well I should make some progress towards some of my tasks finally.
